감 민 경

감민경은 개인의 서사와 주변에 대한 관심으로부터 출발해 새로운 상황과 환경, 사람 사이에서 발견한 일련의 장면을 표현한다. 작가는 일상적 단편들을 소재로 삼아 새로운 세계와 해석의 여지를 열어 두는 데 관심이 있으며, 부산, 일본, 독일 등 국내외 여러 레지던시를 거친 경험을 바탕으로 작업을 확장해 나가고 있다. 개인전 《나는 그의 은유였다》(프로젝트 스페이스 사루비아, 2021), 《지붕없는 기억》(퀸스틀러하우스 베타니엔, 2018)을 비롯해 2022 부산비엔날레 《물결 위 우리》(부산현대미술관, 2022), 《기억의 주름》(해동문화예술촌 아레아갤러리, 2021) 등 다수의 기획전에 참여했다. 2003년 15회 부산청년미술상, 2005년 5회 하정웅 청년작가전에서 수상하였으며, 미술은행, 부산시립미술관, 광주시립미술관, 부산문화재단, 부산지방법원 등에서 작가의 작품을 소장하고 있다.

김 기 찬

김기찬은 일상에서 마주하는 여러 시간대의 거리나 평범한 건물들의 모습을 담아낸다. 작가는 대상의 모습을 촬영한 후, 촬영한 이미지를 재단하여 종이와 연필을 사용해 작업한다. 김기찬의 작업은 흑백임에도 불구하고 다양한 톤과 밀도의 차이로 인해 따뜻하고 포근한 느낌을 주며, 작은 화면에는 마치 사진과 같은 다양한 정보들이 담겨있다. 세종대학교 회화과 학사 졸업 후 현재 동대학원 석사에 재학 중인 작가는 단체전 《세종대학교 회화과 졸업전시회》(세종아트갤러리, 2020), 《따옴표 열고 온점》(세종아트갤러리, 2022)에 참여했다. 《구체적 진술과 은유》는 더소소에서 개최되는 작가의 첫 외부 전시로, 일상 속 풍경을 따뜻한 시선으로 포착한 작가의 작품을 선 보이는 자리가 될 것이다.

Kam Min-kyung

​Kam Min-kyung (b.1970) expresses a series of scenes found between new situations, environments, and people, starting from her interest in her own narratives and surroundings. Kam is immersed in opening a new world and interpretation by using everyday fragments as subject matter, and she has been expanding scope of her work based on her residency program experience in Busan, Japan, and Germany. Her solo exhibitions include I was his metaphor (Project Space SARUBIA, 2021), and A memory without a roof (Kunstlerhaus Bethanien. Germany, 2018). She also took part in a number of group exhibitions including 2022 Busan Biennale’s We, on The Rising Wave (MoCA, Busan, 2022) and Wrinkle of Memory (Hae Dong Art &Culture Platform, 2021). She won such prizes as the 15th Busan Youth Art Prize (2003) and was selected in the 5th Ha Jeong-ung Young Artists Invitational Exhibition (2005). Her works are housed at National Art Bank, Busan Museum of Art, Gwangju Museum of Art, Busan Cultural Foundation and Busan District Court.

Kim Gi-chan

Kim Gi-chan captures images of streets and ordinary buildings in various time zones. After taking a photo of the object, Kim cuts the image and produces an artwork using paper and pencils. Although Kim’s work is black and white, it feels warm and cozy due to varying tones and densities, and a single canvas contains various information like photography. After graduating from Department of Fine Arts at Sejong University, he is now in his Master’s degree at Graduate School of the same university. His group exhibitions include Sejong University Exhibition of Graduation (Sejong Art Gallery, 2020) and Open quotation marks and period (Sejong Art Gallery, 2022). Concrete Statement and Metaphor is his first external exhibition at The SoSo, where he captures everyday sceneries with a warm gaze in wide-ranging densities and textures.
